Strong Foundations

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lee H. Goldberg attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, relocating to South Florida in 1990 to continue and grow his practice. Currently residing in Ocean Ridge, FL and a licensed attorney for over 40 years, Goldberg specializes in franchising, commercial real estate, aviation, admiralty and maritime law. Additionally, he’s represented a number of large-scale food franchises, including McDonalds and Marco’s Pizza, with extensive past experience in entertainment and sports law as well. Goldberg began his restaurant career with a franchise of Bobby Rubino's Steakhouse, Popeye's Famous Fried Chicken and a multi-unit franchise of Wendy's International. He then co-founded the national franchise BurgerFi - a popular, stylish, eco-minded chain serving grass-fed beef burgers, hot dogs, craft beer and wine which has grown to over 100 franchise locations in the US. He controlled the implementation of all aspects of franchise development and sales for the BugerFi concept.

Taylor G. Levy grew up in Sea Cliff, a small town on the North Shore of Long Island, New York. He attended Towson University and spent almost a decade working in the financial industry until family business opportunities presented themselves in Florida. Levy’s family, a long-time franchisee owner of both Golden Corral, a family-friendly buffet chain and BurgerFi’s first franchisee - it is safe to say Levy is a long-time restaurateur with a passion for culture, food and amazing experiences. Levy through extensive investment and operational experience, manages multiple large-scale restaurants at one time, overseeing a 20 million dollar enterprise with over 400 employees. As an efficiency expert, Levy compartmentalizes operations by streamlining franchise systems and implementing multi-tiered cost controls. He skillfully negotiates contracts and monitors the daily business to deliver results. Recognized for his business acumen and leadership qualities, Taylor is dedicated to building a company with an inclusive and collaborative culture. When it comes to uncovering unique restaurant concepts Levy brings much knowledge and expertise to the table.

Goldberg and Levy have been partners and friends for over seven years, and both felt ready for new, appetizing, innovative and unique ventures. They spent three years searching for and creating stand-out restaurant concepts that really made sense and stuck with them. Enamored by the recent explosions of fast casual food concepts they began traveling throughout the US and Asia, where they tasted and fell in love with unique cultural products they believed could scale back home; and that light bulb moment created 88 Napkins and its affiliated companies.
